Analysis of Brominated Flame Retardant in a WastePlastics

Brominated flame retardants are to be controlledunder the Restriction of Hazardous Substances (RoHS directive), GC analysisis generally conducted after solvent extraction, although, it involvescumbersome operations. Therefore, simpler analytical technique needed tobe developed. Here, the analysis of ecabromodiphenyl ether (DeBDE), amost commonly used brominated flame retardant is achieved by thermaldesorption (TD)-GC/MS technique.
